CANNOT SLEEP!

Sunday, April 10, 12:15am
Can't sleep. This is day two of my attempt  to get off of pain killers and I am not being too successful.
I am having lower back pain and cannot get comfortable. I had a pain block in my lower back six months ago and it looks like I will have to repeat that. Thought I was through with the Pain Clinic; looks like I was wrong.
This all started in late summer of 2004 with Spinal Stenosis and surgery in December of 2004.
"Why?" is a question we often ask when we  experience unpleasant things in life. I don't have the answer to that, but I serve a Sovereign Lord, who has a plan, and I trust Him completely.

Carolyn's Note

This note from Carolyn brought back a lot of memories and a few sweet tears.
This was in my 1954 Tennessee Temple yearbook. We had been first year students and she was to be attending nursing school at Georgia Baptist Hospital for three years. We had plans to be married. We had been in love since juniors at Rome High School.
We were eventually married in November 1958.

Carolyns Death

This blog is about Carolyn. As many of you know Carolyn has experienced many problems with her heart for a number of years. In the past two or three years the problems have become more severe with a number of hospitalizations .

In September of 2015 it became necessary for us to move in with our  daughter Kathy. We had come to the place where we could no longer care for each other.  She was in the hospital in September and again in November for an arteriogram. After consulting with a number of doctors it was decided that open heart surgery would be the best option. She was becoming weaker each day.

On November 9th Carolyn underwent open heart surgery . The surgery was successful but after many days in CICU she developed pneumonia which was the cause of her death on November 28th 2015. She was in intensive care for 20 days.

I miss her so much but I am thankful to know that she is with our Lord and, that I will join her soon.

My sweetheart!
